Missions in Your back yard

    M28 Ministries, Bridge House is a Missions opportunity for churches and individuals to get “On Mission” without travel. Jesus tells us what we are to do until His return in, Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”. This is the foundation of every mission trip taken anywhere in the world! Somehow, it seems we have mistaken the word GO to mean go somewhere else, then make disciples, baptize them and teach them. The word GO dose not mean go some where other than where you are. Yes, Jesus says, “of all nations” but too often we have taken that to mean to do missions work we need to go somewhere other than home to do it. While it is important to take the good news of Jesus Christ all over the world, it is important that we start in our own back yards. The America we see today has lost its way, largely because the church allowed “missions” to be viewed as an adventurous traveling opportunity to see the world and share the gospel along the way. We must turn this around and get back to the basics. The word GO does not mean to go somewhere else, it means to START! Start sharing the good new of Jesus Christ right where you are in your own back yards!

      At M28’s “Bridge Ministry” we offer an opportunity for churches and individuals to partner with us in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, feeding the hungry, clothing the needy and creating disciples in Lawton Oklahoma, our own back yard. Located in central Lawton in one of the poorest parts of our city whereby God’s grace and direction we have planted roots and focus on fulfilling the Great commission everyday right here in our own back yard. We need the churches partnership to accomplish the mission and invite you to join us in leading the lost to Christ baptizing them the teaching them the good news and how to lead others to Christ themselves. 

Here’s what we need from our partner churches.

• Commitment to regularly promote this mission’s opportunity to your body of believers.
• Support our Saturday ministry every 4-6 weeks with 60-80 meals & 6-8 volunteers (mores ok).
• Help us keep our pantry full, with an ongoing food drive.
• Have periodic clothing drives.
• Welcome people from the Bridge House to your church on Sundays.

Here’s what we need from individual volunteers.

• Sign up to serve monthly at our Saturday ministry (if possible).
• If led serve in other areas of the ministry like the TBH Pantry, bible studies, Life skill classes…
